Development
E-commerce development
We build online stores where customers find the right product and finish the purchase. The work starts with your catalog and the way you sell: variants, payments, delivery and who packs the order. The platform and the features follow from that.
What you receive: a buying path from search to order confirmation.
How we price it: catalog work, store features and integrations, each listed separately.
What stays yours: the code, the store admin and every connected account.
What you get
At handover you have:
- Product and category templates that fit what you sell.
- Filters and search, including a useful page when nothing matches.
- Cart and checkout with the payment and delivery options you chose.
- Customer accounts, if your buying process needs them.
- A way to import or enter products, and instructions for updating the catalog.
- Test purchase results, the source code and instructions for running the store.
We plan SEO, Google Ads, GA4 and AI search before the catalog structure is fixed, because moving it later costs more. The launch scope covers category and product pages for search, rules for filter addresses, readable product information and GA4 purchase tracking. A Merchant Center feed is included when it is in the estimate. Ongoing e-commerce SEO and Google Ads for e-commerce are separate services.
What the cost depends on
We estimate from the catalog and the order process. Sales rules you have not decided yet get sorted out before they become development work.
- The quality of your product data, the variants and how the catalog is organized.
- Search, filters and how products are presented.
- Storefront layouts and languages.
- Checkout rules and the payment and delivery services you connect.
- Connections to stock, accounting or order systems, once confirmed.
- Moving products and addresses from an old store.
- Testing every order status before launch.
Platform subscriptions and outside service fees are charged on top of our work. We check each connection before we price it. If the sales rules or the catalog change, you get an updated estimate before we build the change.
We answer every inquiry within one working day. The schedule depends on when the catalog data is ready, on the integrations and on your approvals.
The code and the store admin are yours. Payment, delivery, hosting and analytics accounts stay in your company's name. We document licenses and who is responsible for what at handover. Store work is done by our specialists and by contractors we have worked with; CyberLab answers for the result.
What is included and what is not
Included
- The catalog structure and the storefront.
- Search, filters and the buying features in the estimate.
- Entering or importing the approved products.
- Connections we have checked and agreed on.
- Test purchases, the marketing setup in the estimate and the handover.
Not included
- Product photos, descriptions and translations.
- Cleaning up supplier data or adding catalog sources that were not planned.
- Running fulfillment, customer service and accounting.
- Getting approved by a payment provider and your contracts with them.
- Ongoing maintenance, SEO and advertising.
You approve product information and store policies. Before we test the purchase path, we agree who sets up each payment, delivery and stock rule.
When you need this
- You are ready to take orders online and can ship them.
- Customers cannot find the right variant or see whether it is in stock.
- Checkout needs a change the current store cannot handle.
- A rebuild has to connect the store with your product or order systems.
- You are moving to another platform and need the catalog and addresses moved together.
How the work goes
What you have after each step
-
Step 1. Map the catalog and the order process
You get a store scope we can estimate, with must-haves separated from extras. You send sample product data and explain payments, delivery and fulfillment.
-
Step 2. Choose the platform and the buying flow
You get a platform recommendation and layouts from browsing to checkout. You review them with real products and confirm the sales rules. We check every connection before it goes into the scope.
-
Step 3. Build and fill the catalog
You get a test store with the buying features and your approved products. You send the final catalog data and test access to connected systems. We log import problems and check how updates work.
-
Step 4. Test orders and launch
You get test purchase results and a launch checklist, then the code and operating instructions. You confirm that orders reach the right place and approve the launch. Together we agree who handles incidents and updates afterward.
How we can work together
Pick the form that fits the task. We suggest one after the first conversation.
-
Consultation or audit
For when you want a second opinion on a plan, a system or a quote before you commit. You get a written review with recommendations and an estimate of the next step.
-
Fixed-scope project
This works when the requirements can be written down before work starts. You get the agreed scope for the agreed price. Anything new goes through an updated estimate first.
-
Time and materials
For when the scope will change as you learn, as with research or a new product. You pay for the time spent, and we review the plan with you as the work goes.
-
Support after launch
Your system is already live and needs updates, fixes and monitoring. We agree a monthly arrangement and a list of what it covers.

Platforms and tools we work with
Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and OpenCart. Webflow and Wix for small catalogs.
We choose the platform from the task, and the list shows what we use most often.
Who this is for, and when it is too early
Start when your product data is reliable and you can fulfill the orders the store takes. It is too early while you have no payment provider, no shipping rules or nobody responsible for stock.
If an existing platform already supports how you sell, a limited setup may be enough. If the store works but nobody finds it in Google, e-commerce SEO will help more than a new store. For a Shopify store that needs regular edits and theme fixes, see Shopify store care.
A ready platform or custom store logic?
| Option | When it fits | What to settle first |
|---|---|---|
| A ready e-commerce platform | Its catalog and checkout can handle how you sell | The connections you need, editing needs and platform limits |
| Custom store logic | A specific sales rule cannot be handled well with standard features | The exact exception, what it costs to run and who maintains it |
We pick the platform from your product data, order rules and the integrations you need.
