Find Out Where Your Google Ads Budget Leaks — or Launch Shopping + PMax From Scratch

Google Ads for e-commerce is the paid setup and management of Shopping and Performance Max campaigns through Google Merchant Center, done for online stores so your products show to buyers already searching. Fixed fee, zero revenue share, and your Google Ads account stays yours. Google Partner since 2015, certified in Shopping and Performance Max.

Sound familiar?

Recognize any of these?

If even one matches — our audit will tell you exactly what's going on.

💸
Budget drains, sales don't follow

You spend €1,000–5,000/mo on Google Ads, see clicks, but sales stay flat or erratic. You can't pinpoint where the money goes.

📦
Feed not approved, Merchant Center won't launch

Half your products are disapproved, policy warnings pile up, Merchant Center threatens suspension. You don't know what's broken in the feed.

Performance Max is a black box

You launched PMax, money's going out, but asset groups report aggregated numbers only. Google shows conversions — your revenue doesn't match.

📊
Conversion tracking is broken

GA4 says one thing, Ads says another, your CRM says a third. Enhanced Conversions aren't set up, Consent Mode v2 is missing. You're making decisions blind.

🤖
Bot conversions skew the reports

Google shows 150 conversions, your CRM shows 40 real orders. The rest is automated signal Google feeds into PMax to 'optimize.' Nobody talks about this — we cross-check with your CRM.

🔒
Previous agency left — account is held hostage

Account sits under their MCC, history was reset, optimization data is gone. You start from zero with a new contractor every time.

Honest first

When we'd tell you NOT to run Performance Max yet

PMax is not the right first move for every store. When the account isn't ready, forcing it wastes budget. Here is when we hold off and start elsewhere.

Too little conversion signal

A store with only a handful of conversions a month gives Performance Max too little data to learn from. We start with Standard Shopping and Search, build real conversion history, then graduate to PMax.

Merchant Center full of disapprovals

Disapproved products or missing GTINs mean your best sellers may never show. We fix the feed first, before a single euro goes into PMax.

Brand-new store, no history

With no conversion data at all, PMax has nothing to optimize toward. A controlled Shopping structure comes first, then PMax once real data exists.

How the two campaign types differ

Standard Shopping vs Performance Max vs both

Performance Max buys volume across every Google surface; Standard Shopping keeps product-level bid control and full search-term visibility. Running both with brand exclusions gets the reach without letting PMax claim credit for organic brand traffic.

Standard Shopping vs Performance Max vs running both
Standard Shopping Performance Max Both
Bid control Product-level, manual Automated by Google Manual where it matters, automated where it scales
Ad surfaces Search Shopping slots Search, Display, YouTube, Discover, Gmail, Maps Both, with brand exclusions on PMax
Search-term visibility Full Limited (aggregated) Kept on the Shopping side
Learning-data needs Works with modest history Needs steady conversion signal Shopping while PMax gathers data
Best-fit store New stores, tight control Established stores, clean feed Established stores protecting bestseller margin

We choose the split from your account data during the audit, not by default.

What we need from you to start

Nothing here is a password or a new tool to buy. It's the access and product data we already reference across the FAQ.

  • Access to Google Ads, Merchant Center, GA4 and GTM by email invite. We never ask for passwords.
  • Product data basics: GTINs or MPNs, correct prices and stock status, and live product pages.
  • Your own billing card linked to your Ads account, so the ad budget flows straight to Google.

Pick your starting point

Start with a one-time audit or launch, then add ongoing management when you're ready. No long-term contracts, no % of ad spend.

The €199 Audit reviews an existing account and hands you a fix list; the €590 Launch builds Merchant Center, Shopping, PMax and tracking from scratch; ongoing management runs from €250/mo (Starter) through €490/mo (Growth) to €1,090/mo (Scale), plus your own Google ad budget.

Why our audit costs €199 when others offer free ones

A free agency audit is usually a sales funnel: the deliverable is a pitch for their retainer. Ours is a standalone product, a prioritized fix list plus a walkthrough call, that you can hand to any contractor with no obligation to hire us.

How agencies charge, and why we picked a fixed fee

Most agencies charge a percentage of your ad spend, or a base fee plus a percentage, a model that rewards higher spend rather than better results. Our fee is the same whether you spend €500 or €15,000 a month, and you can verify every euro because billing goes from your card straight to Google.

Optimization and reporting

Weekly optimization, monthly report, quarterly strategy session. Your account — always yours.

Fits you if

  • · E-commerce on Shopify, WooCommerce, OpenCart, PrestaShop, Magento, Bitrix or headless
  • · 20–5,000 SKUs (more than 5,000 — we discuss feed automation separately)
  • · Ready to spend €500/mo+ on ads
  • · Selling to EU / CIS markets
  • · Want transparent fixed fee without % of ad spend

Not a fit if

  • · Ad budget under €300/mo — start with audit first
  • · Need Yandex Ads — we run Google only
  • · Looking for "guaranteed 500% ROAS in a month" — we don't promise that
  • · Need a team of 5 on-site specialists — we're SMB-focused, not enterprise
  • · Restricted products (alcohol / CBD / regulated gambling) — policy consult first

A worked example

What does this look like in practice?

A store came to us spending steadily on a single Performance Max campaign, with Google reporting healthy conversions while the owner's own order count stayed flat. The audit found two problems feeding each other: a share of the Merchant Center catalog was disapproved, so bestsellers rarely showed, and the reported conversions did not reconcile with the CRM once we cross-checked real orders.

We fixed the feed first, cleared the disapprovals and corrected the product data, before touching campaigns. We split the account into Standard Shopping for the products that needed bid control and Performance Max for reach, added brand exclusions so PMax stopped claiming credit for organic brand searches, and rebuilt conversion tracking so the numbers matched the CRM. Reporting became something the owner could trust, and spend moved toward products that actually sold.

Anonymized example of our process, not a promise of results.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to launch Google Ads for my online store?
We have three fixed-price products: an audit of an existing account — €199, a from-scratch launch (Merchant Center + Shopping + Performance Max + tracking) — €590, and ongoing management from €250/mo. Setup pays once; after that you pay only for management plus your actual Google ad budget. We don't take a percentage of ad spend and don't require 6 or 12-month contracts.
What's the minimum ad budget?
Working minimum is €500/mo for local and niche stores, €800–1,500/mo for competitive e-commerce (apparel, electronics, beauty). Below €300/mo Performance Max and Shopping can't hit the 15-conversions-in-30-days threshold algorithms need. If your budget is under €500/mo we'll say so honestly — wait until it grows, or start with SEO and Google My Business instead.
How soon will I see sales?
First orders usually come in days 7–14 from launch. A stable conversion rate and predictable ROAS take 30–60 days as PMax and Shopping algorithms learn. If you're migrating from another contractor with existing history, first week is often enough to see fixes pay off.
What's Merchant Center and why do I need it?
Google Merchant Center is the free tool where Google reads your product catalog (the "feed") — titles, prices, availability, images, GTINs. Without a valid feed, Shopping and Performance Max campaigns cannot show your products. Setting up MC correctly (and keeping the feed fresh) is 40% of ecommerce Google Ads success.
What's the difference between Shopping and Performance Max?
Shopping campaigns show product cards in Google search results — manual structure, you control what shows. Performance Max is Google's AI-driven campaign that uses your feed + your creative assets + signals you provide to run across all Google surfaces (search, display, YouTube, Discover, Gmail, Maps). PMax converts better for established stores with clean feeds — but it's a black box without proper reporting setup. We run both and tell you which fits.
Should I run Standard Shopping and Performance Max at the same time?
For an established store, usually yes. Performance Max scales across every Google surface while Standard Shopping keeps product-level bid control and full search-term visibility, and with brand exclusions the hybrid stops PMax taking credit for organic brand traffic and protects margin on your bestsellers. But this is a decision we make from your account data during the audit, never a default we apply to everyone.
Should I pause Performance Max if results dip in the first weeks?
Usually no. Pausing resets the learning phase, which delays results further, so early volatility on its own is not a reason to stop. We watch conversion volume, feed status and tracking accuracy instead of the daily number. There are real exceptions where pausing is correct: feed disapprovals piling up in Merchant Center, or broken conversion tracking feeding the algorithm bad data. We name those honestly rather than promise a ROAS.
Why is your audit €199 when other agencies offer free audits?
A free agency audit is usually lead generation: the deliverable is a pitch for their retainer, not a document you can act on alone. Ours is a standalone paid product, a prioritized fix list plus a walkthrough call, that you can hand to any contractor or run yourself. There is zero obligation to hire us afterwards. If you only want a second opinion, the €199 audit is the whole thing.
Do you set up Merchant Center through my platform's app or directly?
Either, depending on your catalog. Native integrations (the Shopify Google & YouTube app, WooCommerce plugins) are fine for simple catalogs. Direct feeds with supplemental feeds and feed rules win when product attributes need control, for example fixing titles, GTINs or category mapping at scale. We recommend the approach after seeing your catalog, and no paid feed app is required by default.
What creative assets do I need for Performance Max?
At minimum: product images from your feed, your logo, and text assets drawn from your brand kit. Video is optional on Starter and Growth and produced for you on Scale. Honestly, if you supply no video, Google auto-generates one from your assets, and in our audits that auto-video is rarely on-brand, so we treat real video as worth doing once the account is stable.
How much % does the agency take from my budget?
Zero. We charge a fixed monthly fee — your ad budget goes directly to Google from your card. This matters: agencies on % commission are structurally motivated to inflate spend, not optimize it. 18 of the 20 competitors we researched take a cut. We don't.
Does my budget go to Google or to you?
Directly to Google. Your billing card is linked to your Google Ads account — we never touch your money. We work through MCC access (Manager Account), which is a standard Google Partner arrangement. You see every euro spent in real time in your own account.
What happens if I want to leave?
Your account stays with you — always. Because we work through MCC access rather than owning your account, ending the engagement means we step out of MCC and you keep the account with its full history, optimization data, audiences and tracking. You can hire another agency the same day without losing anything.
How do you handle Merchant Center suspensions?
We've restored dozens of MC suspensions since 2015. The process: audit the reason (policy, misrepresentation, restricted items, feed issues), fix the root cause, prepare a detailed appeal, and work with Google Support through reinstatement. As Google Partners and Product Experts we know the internal review flow. We can't guarantee Google's decision (no one can), but most appeals we file are reinstated within 1–2 review cycles when the underlying issue is fixed.
How long does setup take?
Launch from scratch takes 10–15 working hours spread across 5–7 business days. That includes feed audit and cleanup, Merchant Center setup, Shopping + Performance Max build, conversion tracking (GA4 + Enhanced Conversions + Consent Mode v2), Looker Studio dashboard, and a handover session.
What reports do I get?
Live Looker Studio dashboard you can open anytime — real-time Ads + Merchant Center + GA4 data in one view. Monthly summary report with commentary: what changed, why, what's next. Quarterly strategy session on a video call. No PDF spam.
How quickly do you respond?
During business hours (9:00–18:00 EET, Mon–Fri). Urgent issues — account suspensions, Merchant Center warnings, conversion tracking breakages — get priority attention. Routine optimization requests are handled within the weekly optimization cycle.
Is there a contract?
Monthly rolling — no long-term lock-in. 30-day notice to terminate so we can wind down cleanly (hand over docs, disable integrations). No "6-month minimum" or "auto-renew traps."
I had bad ads before. What changes now?
Usually the previous contractor did one of three things: (1) ran unstructured campaigns without negatives and brand exclusion, (2) skipped Merchant Center feed hygiene, (3) ignored conversion tracking so optimization had nothing to optimize toward. Our audit finds which applies to you — sometimes all three. Then we fix the foundation before touching bids.
What if competitors click-bomb my ads?
Classic click fraud is rare for small-to-mid e-commerce — Google's Invalid Click Detection refunds confirmed bad clicks automatically. What's more common is low-quality traffic from PMax placements (mobile apps, parked domains). We exclude known-bad placements and add negative audiences. Real industrial click fraud (bot farms) affects only a handful of verticals — we'll flag it if you're in one.
Why do I have impressions but no sales?
Four typical causes: (1) feed issues — products showing but landing on wrong URLs or out-of-stock items, (2) wrong keyword intent — research queries not buying queries, (3) landing page friction — slow, bad mobile, broken checkout, (4) misattribution — GA4 is miscounting conversions. Our audit isolates which of these applies and in what proportion.
