LocalBusiness markup generator

Enter your business details and opening hours. The generator writes a JSON-LD block for your website, so search engines read your name, address and hours the way your visitors see them.

Everything happens in your browser: what you type is not sent anywhere, not saved and not recorded in analytics.

Your business

Exactly as on your sign and in your Google Business Profile.

Pick the closest match. If nothing fits, keep the general type.

Address

Optional. Fill it in where addresses usually include one, as in the US.

Two letters, for example US, GB or PL.

Phone and website

With the country code, the same number as on your profile.

The page of this location. If you leave out https://, it is added for you.

Opening hours

One row for each set of days with the same hours. Leave a day unticked if you are closed that day. If you close after midnight, enter the time as it is, for example 02:00.

Map coordinates

Optional. In Google Maps, right-click your pin and click the two numbers at the top of the menu to copy them, then paste them into Latitude: we split them. Google asks for at least five decimals.

Your markup

The markup needs these before it is complete: Business name, Street and number, City, Country code.

What this markup does and does not do

Structured data is website hygiene: it helps search engines read the page. It does not change your position on Google Maps, where Google ranks businesses by relevance, distance and prominence.

Our practical guide to Google Maps SEO

How to add it to your website

  1. Check that every detail matches your Google Business Profile and the text on the page itself.

  2. Copy the code and paste it into the HTML of the page for this location, in the <head> section or just before </body>. Most site builders have a field for custom code in the page settings.

  3. Test the page with Google's Rich Results Test and fix anything it flags.

  4. When the hours or the phone number change, update them here, on the website and in the profile on the same day.

Want your Google Maps profile looked after too?

The markup takes care of your website. A manager from our team keeps your Google Business Profile current every month: hours, posts, review replies and edits made by others. It starts with a free express review.
