This page follows our work on your Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) in the order you meet it, from the first message to the monthly routine.
Start with a message about your profile
The first step is a message through the consultation form with a link to your listing and a few words about what worries you. If you do not have the link, the business name and the city are enough. A manager replies within one business day, and nothing is charged at this step.
You do not need to share your Google password to get in touch, and the request creates no obligation. You can come with a single problem, such as wrong hours or a suspended profile, or with the regular upkeep you want to hand over. If the business has no profile yet, our guide to creating a Google Business Profile shows what that involves.
What the free express review gives you
The express review is a conversation of up to twenty minutes, or an exchange of messages, based on what is publicly visible on your profile. You get up to three findings and an explanation of what to do about each one. There is no written report, and the review does not replace a full audit.
The manager also suggests a package for each location and gives a preliminary estimate from the published price. The final amount is confirmed before anything is charged.
Choose a package and agree the scope
Each location you want serviced gets one of three packages: Start, Business or Pro. The package sets how much work the manager does for that location every month. Before any work begins, you agree the tasks, the materials and the access rights with the manager, and the price is confirmed.
What each package includes is compared side by side on the Google Maps management pricing page.
Give the manager access and keep the ownership
The profile stays the property of your business. You add our manager as a user with the manager role in the profile settings, so the password to your Google account never changes hands. You can withdraw that access whenever you decide, and the owner role stays with you throughout the service.
If nobody at the company can open the profile, that comes first. Our guide to claiming an existing business on Google Maps covers the ownership request and account recovery.
The first month
The first month starts with the initial setup of the location, which is part of the service and has no separate fee. The manager confirms who owns the profile and who else still has access, goes through it field by field and agrees the correct details with you.
At the start you also set the tone for review replies, the topics for posts and what the manager may do without asking each time. Those agreements are written down, and the later work is checked against them. If the profile has a suspension, a duplicate or details someone else changed, the manager raises it early and agrees the next steps with you. Edits that Google suggests for the profile are never accepted or rejected automatically: the manager checks them against your details with you first.
The service month runs from the day the service starts, so nothing is tied to the first day of the calendar month.
What happens every month after that
Every month the manager does five jobs on each serviced location: keeps the details correct, prepares and publishes posts, replies to new reviews, compares the profile with the agreed data and writes the monthly report. How much of each is included depends on the package of that location.
- Keeping the profile details right: hours, phone, categories, description and services.
- Posts and offers on a plan, built from your materials.
- Replies to your reviews in the agreed tone, with difficult cases brought to you first.
- Checks for outside edits made by Google or by other people.
- The monthly report and history of the work.
Unused volumes do not carry over to the next month. Work beyond the package is agreed with its cost before it starts.
How you stay informed
Every month you get a report on the work done for each location: basic on Start, extended on Business and Pro, with an advertising section on Pro. Between reports you talk to the team in the dashboard chat and by official email, so what was agreed stays in one place.
Personal contacts of managers are not shared. The manager’s reply time counts to the first answer, and how long a task takes depends on what it involves and, for many edits, on Google.
What the service does not promise
We answer for the agreed work on the profile. We do not promise a position on Google Maps, a rating, calls or sales, because those depend on Google, on the market and on your own offer. Whether Google accepts an edit, and how long that takes, is also Google’s decision.
Nothing is restored, published outside the agreed permissions or charged without your yes.
